I AM GLAD THAT YOU ARE BEGINNING TO SEE THE TERRIBLE MISTAKE THE PEOPLE MADE IN THE LAST ELECTION. THANKS, ED
This is in response to the above opinion sent to me, alleging that, I am "beginning to see the terrible mistake" people of the United States made in the last elections. This is a typical example of how seemingly normal and intelligent people can interpret the same event they are watching, in two different and opposed ways and mind you, they are under no influence of smoking something they can't handle!
I find it hard to see how anyone would even think, the last presidential elections in the USA, were a terrible mistake. If anything at all, it was the biggest blessing upon the USA since the first President, George Washington. This blessings were bigger than the elections of Abraham Lincoln and John F. Kennedy put together, even if you had to add on the elections of Bill Clinton and George Bush 43. Who ever could even think, or leave alone, imagine, a daughter of descendants of former slaves in America and a son of an ordinary goats herder from the middle of nowhere in Zamunda, would be the ones the intelligent people of these USA, would see fit to select to pull them out of the far bottomless hole they had been lowered into in almost everything including, reputation, economy, education, health and you can name the rest.
I am neither a Republican nor a Democrat, not even a citizen. Therefore, i can speak about this past elections with no bias behind and only from an intelligent person's point of view. And where do I get my credentials to even speak about this? I confess, when I was playing school in the USA, I specialized in something called, "American Government" and therafter, taught it at university level.
It is no wonder, I did not see why I should become one of the citizens. Instead, I chose to be an impartial observer and adviser. And in that role, I have been advising presidents, beginning from John F. Kennedy back in 1960s to the present. Yes, I saw a very different mistake from the one the writer above saw. I will explain it hereunder.
I am not just beginning to see "the terrible mistake the people made in the last elections." I saw this way back when a Republican presidential candidate nominated a certain grandma to run with him as a candidate for Vice president of the United States. That grandma, I am told, was one time a competitor in a village beauty contest and that was her main claim to fame. Asked whether she knew something about matters referred to as "Foreign Affairs," she innocently answered in a Palinese language, translated into English to mean, "yes, I do, I can see Russia from my bedroom window." Not too bad for a politically substandard grandma, who had never traveled beyond her tiny village and had a problem remembering even a single newspaper she read.
Soon, the American people reminded themselves what they had intelligently understood one time. They realized, to be a copilot, one had to know something about piloting and that, one of the subjects to be covered was not beauty contest. Nixon knew that. That is why he selected Spiro Agnew to be his copilot. Ford knew this, that is why he too, selected Nelson Rockefeller and even my friend Ronnie knew this. That is why Bush 41 was his selection. Well, even the best pilots like John McCan, may be attracted by beauty and make a terrible mistake. By the way, can a lipstick on a pig qualify it for a beauty contest? It would be impossible to imagine how low the country would have sunk, if McCan and his copilot had been elected the Paramount Chiefs of this mixed tribe called the USA, also known as "Land of People of Plenty"--plenty of everything mind you, including plenty of a right to be stupid or even crazy. God forbids, if by any chance, after the elections victory, God decided to move brother John to a higher calling on Jupiter, grandma would have taken over the control of this "Skybird USA" with her impacable credentials of beauty pagent. God have mercy on us, her naive but loyal passengers.
It is whispered that the GOP is getting ready to give the charming grandma a second shot at the Oval office in 2012. Is it any wonder, the most intelligent passengers have jumped the coasting schooner and now, what used to be the glorious "SS GOP" has been hijacked by political zealots and a band of those who are out for no good. In short, the GOP we used to know as a the Party of People of Plenty, somehow has fizzled off or if some of its form is still around, it is an irrelevant group of political rookies and loud mouth talkers struggling to find their way out of a simple brown shopping bag. Some of them have become so politically naive that even the old fashioned good manners left them, may be for the Congo or Guatemala. That is why they cannot tell the difference between where to shout, "you are a liar" at their elected President and Head of State and where to dispIay their leftover good behavior. I beg you, don't wish them any bad luck. They already have enough of that. Pray for them. God still answers prayers. They may be back in 16 years after President Michelle.
But even before the episode of our charming grandma, Republicans had made another terrible error that took eight long years to get rid of. They nominated the unwilling George, I mean 43, to rule and reign over us. And we, the abiding subjects believed, well, we have a new king on the throne of Charlemagne, Never mind how he got there, Like my friend Kibaki in Kenya, he never was responsible tabulating his votes, as long as he could tell the difference between a throne and an ordinary chair not meant for descendants of Charlemagne, we let George sit on the throne and let his henchman, Cheney do the driving. Just as in Kenya, Kibaki sat on the three legged Stool of Kenyatta and let Raila do the driving.
At the time we came out of amnesia, George had already put his thumb print and seal of his office on a merciless paper to wage war against all countries which were suspected to be holding or even thinking of a possibility of one time making certain things called, "Weapons of mass destruction." These future weapons, we were told, all that was required to make one, was as simple as somebody armed with trinkets such as plastic beads visiting the land of Zamunda and having a sharp tongue. In exchange for receiving worthless beads, the ignorant chiefs of Zamunda, were supposed to let free their visitor, dig for something from the dry and arid parts of the soil of Papa's Land and take whatever he found from our Papa's Land to his more scientifically advanced homeland, to make certain mass killing dangerous tools that can wipe out a whole village in a minute. We were told, those monster weapons had no discrimination at all. They would kill men and women, small girls and small boys all alike. In short, they scared hell even out of brave Generals like Powell, a Republican strongman.
Brother Cheney swore, the sinister weapons were hidden somewhere in a country once known as Mesopotamia, now shortened to mere Iraq. Well, four years later and four thousand US innocent lives gone, we discovered, at our dismay, there was no such a weapon in the land of Shiner, not even in the vicinity of Tigris and Euphrates. If you wanted to see how one of the weapons would have looked like, you had to make a trip all the way to the new land of Abraham To say sorry for the mistake would not be the right word to calm the agony parents of the departed were experiencing. So, George, the Republican, prayed the cup be passed to those fellows who collectively call themselves, Democrats. Why Democrats? Please, if you don't know why, go back to Mars where you just arrived from.
The 2008 elections came, and George prayed harder and harder that the blame be passed away from him to anybody but a brother Republican. George was not quite sure God was still in the business of answering prayers. Both, George and Cheney, seventh cousin of my nephew, with nothing in common, not even a nose or hue, prayed together that the cup be passed away from George and the Republicants--strictly in that order, onto Obama and the Democrats, not necessarily in that order. And God the merciful kept His word to answer any faithful prayer. Yeees, He answered George's prayer. Cheney bore witness to that.
God by His wisdom, gave the Republicans the will to select a wishy-washy team to compete against a shepherd boy full of grace and wisdom, who was only a generation from his dad and grandpa who were themselves goat and cow herders only a couple of years before the boy was born. Thanks to the Irish girl who accepted to keep the boy in her stomach for nine month. The Lord poured his blessings upon the boy and gave him wisdom as had before given to another young man whose mother coincidentally, had originated form what is now Eastern Africa-the vicinity of Obama's dad and grandpa. That boy was Mennelick, son of the great wise and rich king of Israel, whom we know as Solomon, son of King David and Bethseba--the Zamundian mother of Solomon. Does it need any further reading to understand what then had taken place among the Israelites under Saul and what came to pass during the reign of David and Solomon. Further still, does anyone there realize what Ethiopia became and held on up to now? If anyone thought, Obama can be tossed around between the satanic minded skinheads and the most "shenzi" KKKs, that person better have his remaining brain washed clean. Read the prophesy again and again, if you do not know where to start, write and ask me, or ask anyone who has a direct link to the Divine. There are still a few of us left.
Obama is no accidental president. He is as real a thing as the divine could release to the USA to rescue the country which we now know as the USA. Did the people make a mistake to elect him? People have no such power of making such a "mistake." To those stupid enough to think God is in the business of making mistakes, yes, Obama must be, according to them, the biggest mistake God has made since He trusted Adam and Eve with the Tree of Life.. Fortunately, there aren't so many upsetting idiots in circulation left among People of Plenty. The USA has its share of ignorant people of course. But ignorance can be wiped off by good education. That is what some of us people of ink and pen are comitted to do, to educate the mass. When it is cloudy, ignorant people would believe there will be no sun any more. But once they are informed, the sun is still there, only above clouds, they soon understand, in order to have water to enable the grass and other plants to stay alive, there has to be some clouds to cause the rain.
United States is going through that watering stage. That does not mean there will be no sunshine again. When the sun comes back, the air will be clean with less pollution. As Hugo figuratively put it at the United Nations recently, there will be no "Sulfur smell." Leave Obama alone to do what he was elected by the wise people of America and with the blessing of God to accomplish. He will bring peace, respect and prosperity to the USA than anyone has been able to do in a couple of centuries. His approach may not please the Glenn Becks and the Rush Lumbarghs of this world. These are followers of what we know as Paranoid Politics, the politics of fear steaming out of the unknown That myopic sickening phobia is usually served to the most ignorant and the mis-educated. This myopic phobia is no new invention. If you don't think so, read the "Time" magazine of September 28th, pages 32 to 34. The major paranoidical events are listed there starting from 1798. If I were editing the "Time Magazine" i would have added about 10 more which fit the bill. One of them is the myopic fear of some people believing that a man of a different skin hue cannot rule over them. These are the miseducated who cannot see anything beyond their skin.
Nothing could be better than a man with a mixture of skin texture ruling a country whose credo is based on skin pigmentation and can hardly outgrow it.
We do understand, there are many ignorant folks out there wishing their God given president all the evil that could fall upon him. To those evil prophets of doom, you should be reminded, it is written in the Book of Knowledge, "No swords placed against a child of God shall injure him." It is also written in the Psalms of David, "Evil shall slay the wicked." Our advice is: You have a right to disagree but never make a mistake of being disagreeable and classless.
